Comments: Mike and Amelia hosted the BMW Motorcycle Owners of Alabama club for their monthly meeting weekend affair. Some members of the Bayou Bikers are also a members of the Alabama Club. The weekend began with the arrival of members of both clubs on Friday and ended with the monthly meeting of BMWMOAL on Sunday morning. In between there was plenty of food and fun for all participants.
Lunch on Friday consisted of finger food, Friday night's fare was red beans and rice. Breakfasts included French toast casserole, coffee, juice. A light lunch of roast beef sandwiches was on tap for Saturday. Saturday evening Bob and Tommy boiled 4 sacks of crawfish. Except for the crawfish, all meals were prepared by Amelia and her helpers.
Saturday morning Keith (the human GPS) led a group of riders through the Felicianas, including a stop at Greenwood Plantation. The ride consisted of some "barely paved" roads and roads with lots of curves. For a couple of our club members, this was there first extended taste of unimproved roads!
Saturday afternoon, Warren Broussard put on a presentation about MAC, the Motorcycle Awareness Campaign.
Everyone had a great time and were grateful for the hard work put in by members of the Bayou Bikers.
