The trip took place on April 17 -21 and covered about 2300 miles. Bernie Saunders, Mike Scott, Ken Trahan and Dwain Guerin went on the trip. We rode from Houma to Junction Texas the first day. It was 95 deg. when we arrived. They said that it had already cooled down by the time we got there. After the first day the temperature stayed in the 60's at night and 70's during the daytime. Very nice riding weather.

The next day we traveled to Ft. Davis to see the McDonald Observatory, and rode Hy.118 Loop back to Marfa Tx. That piece of road is some fine riding. If you are ever in that area if worth going there to ride.

Next stop was Terlingua,Texas, which is just West of the Big Bend National Park. We stayed there for two days and rode some unbelievable roads. The ride up to the Big Bend Lodge is by far one of the most scenic rides you can do there. We also took a raft ride down the Rio Grande and that was okay, I guess.

From there we then went to Del Rio Tx. and decided to go over the border to Mexico to do a little bit of shopping an have a drink or three. We spent the night in Del Rio and then headed to San Antonio where we went to the River Walk for the morning.

We decided that we had enough of Texas, so we headed home. The trip was ready great till we hit Houston and got caught in a hour and half traffic jam. We all ended up going in separate directions, but we all managed to connect up again in Orange Texas. We managed to get home safe and had a great time with some great friends.....

It time to plan another trip. Who wants to go?????
